Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, DJ Big Des is no stranger to spinning live on the "one and twos." But it wasn't until he rocked his first party during his freshman year of college in 1995 that he knew he was hooked for good! During college, he expanded his gift to include producing beats, engineering, and even MCing. But his first love of DJing is what did, and does stick with him. After college, he took some time off to pursue a career as an educator. But it didn't take long for the turntables to find their way back to him. In no time, he was rocking clubs in both the NYC and DC areas, spinning solo, or sometimes working with, or battling against live bands. DJ Big Des is currently residing in Northern Virginia, and rocking parties up and down the East Coast, while looking to expand into other areas. His goal is to bring good music and good party atmospheres back to the forefront of the music scene! With the mind of a businessman, and his musical talents, he is definitely well on his way!
